About Kaaren
Hello, thanks for visiting my website. I am Kaaren Anderson, and yes, Kaaren is spelled with a double A. It is the Swedish spelling of my name, but I am not Swedish. What I think is especially unique is that my late husband was half Swede and so I acquired a Swedish last name as well – Anderson. Although my name and appearance might allow me to pass as a Scandinavian woman, the fact is, I consider myself “all Greenvillian” since I have lived here since 1971.
I really believe that length of time living here in the Upstate of SC has played a major part in making me a REALTOR who can claim to be “head and shoulders above the crowd”. My knowledge of the area has grown up along with Greenville. I well remember when Haywood Road was a two lane road with cow pastures on either side. Also my being six feet tall makes me, in reality, head and shoulders above the crowd.
The principle on which I have built my real estate business is found in a statement my broker has shared with me many times: A good REALTOR is always looking for ways to help people and never focused on “what’s in it for me”. Helping people, looking for ways to make their lives better and happier, is something that gives me real pleasure. I love introducing my city, Greenville, SC and my area, the Upstate of SC, to newcomers from all parts of the country and the world. Seeing Greenville through new eyes reminds me again and again of why I am so proud to call Greenville home. It has been my privilege to help many people who are relocating to this area to not only find their new home but also to figure out which part of the area will be just right for them. And I have also helped folks who are moving away and need to sell their home here. Some of those people have already moved out of state, or even out of the country. I am happy to relieve some of their anxiety by keeping a close eye on their vacant home and keeping them fully informed.
Another very special way I get to help people is when I am involved with a first time home buyer. These deals are often not the “high dollar” deals, but the rewards are immense when I get to help a first time home buyer, whether a single person or a couple, find the perfect home that is also perfect for their budget.
And of course there are plenty of thrills and challenges when helping someone who already owns a home here in the area but they are ready to move up to something larger or perhaps are needing to downsize. Juggling the sale and closing of the current home along with the search for and the closing of that new home gives me many opportunities to try to make their life better and happier.
